Week One...DONE!

so I never thought I would miss the simplicity of sitting in a chair while professors blabbered on about anything and everything....but after this first week- I can safely say I miss it (somewhat!!!) Nah for real though- I do love fieldwork! Acute care is a completely different ballgame then what they prepare you for in school- but I think I'm finally getting the hang of it. But for those of you who know me well- transfers are coming back and kicking my butt...BIG TIME! I don't think I'll ever get used to all the lines and cords... on top of the fact that most of my pt's are Max A of 2 ppl....whew it's challenging. I'm also beginning to appreciate and understand how relatively normal I am...crazy how much exposure to reality you have just being in a hospital- I almost feel naive growing up where I did and not having a clue just how "different" some people's lives are. Anyways, I miss y'all terribly, simple things like southern hospitality and friendliness are scarce here in SLC. Everyone here is extremely nice- but it still seems to lack the charm of southern ways :/ Good luck on week 2!!!!
